One day, one volunteer

My brief bio: Originally from Clermont-Ferrand, I fell in love with the city of Lyon a few months ago. A bookseller by training, I am also passionate about music, especially the piano, which I have played for twelve years. I can actually play the soundtrack to Jane Campion's The Piano!

My favourite actors: Gérard Lanvin, Marion Cotillard, Charlotte Gainsbourg. I'm inclined toward French arthouse directors, but I like all genres!

My favourite film: I have a top 3: Moulin Rouge, Amelie and Gladiator.

My taste for volunteering: I started volunteering at the age of 16 when I joined the SPA (The Société Protecrice des Animaux) for three years. In 2020, I joined the Red Cross where I was responsible for the hospital bookstores. The fact that I can give of my time and help others is important to me.

My tasks at the festival: I discovered the festival during a presentation at the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul clinic where I am a patient. It is a care unit specialised in the treatment of eating disorders and a partner of the Lumière festival. For my first year as a volunteer, I am in charge of welcoming the public to the village bookshop and during the Lumiere Award ceremony.
